Website Whinny Hill Farm
Whinny Hill Equestrian Centre is an Equine Centre and Learning Facility located on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. We have thirty horses, one mule, five donkeys, eight goats, three sheep and numerous cats and dogs. Some of the horses are rescues, others have pedigree, but all share in the same environment of love and care. We presently operate a riding school and EAL and Therapy programs.
We are looking for an Facility Manager. This is a full-time salaried position and reports directly to the owners. It could be a job for either a single or a couple. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the health and well-being of all the animals of Whinny Hill Farm. The Manager will also be responsible for the management and documentation of equine care and health records, along with the tracking of grain, supplements, hay, supplies and bedding as well as supplies needed for horse safety. Depending on expertise, the Manager could also be responsible for the maintenance of all motorized equipment on the farm.
The Manager will also oversee the Lesson and Therapy programs conducted at Whinny Hill by others. This would include ensuring payments are made and accounted for, safety compliance and compliance with program standards.
On site accommodation is negotiable, as is the possibility of pasturing the Manager’s own horses.
