Casse Racing Ontario is searching for an experienced Farrier for our Training Center in Caledon. This is a full time, salaried position.

Key responsibilities

*Ability to diagnose lameness and other equine conditions, and prescribe appropriate shoeing solutions
*Improve conformation and overall performance through corrective shoeing techniques
*Demonstrated experience in therapeutic shoeing
*Experience interpreting X-rays and collaborating with veterinarians
*Experience with Thoroughbred race horses
* Willingness to travel as required

 Requirements

*Completion of a recognized farrier education program or a minimum four-year apprenticeship under a certified farrier
*Qualified Certified Journeyman Farrier CJF or equivalent
*Minimum of 5 years of experience with a proven track record
* Strong physical fitness, including the ability to bend, lift, and work in demanding conditions
*Holds a full clean driving license
* Must be available for weekend work
