Unique position for one month with potential for renewal of contract. This is a internship for an assistant to the owner at a 30-acre farm near Stouffville. Duties will include caring for 18 horses (feeding, turn-in and turn-out, mucking, etc.) plus administrative duties (managing farrier and vet schedules) This privately owner facility caters to recreational riders and eventers. It has won two environmental awards. The owner was an instructor at the U of G’s Equine Studies program. This is an opportunity to be mentored by coach of the year (2023) and would suit an individual with ambitions to enter this industry professionally in a business or coaching capacity. Individual must not be afraid of hard work and must be a team player. Remuneration depends on credentials and experience. On site accommodation available.
