Business Information: Tangerine Investments Inc. brings horses from Argentina to Canada, to prepare and breed them for Horse Polo exhibitions and competencies. We also transport and sell 50% of our polo ponies for elite customers from the US and Canada.

Job Description:

Handling animals

Show horse preparation

Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed

Maintain horses’ performance records

Train horses

Maintain work records and logs

Detect possible diseases and health problems in horses

 

Requirements:

– Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

– Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience training horses is required.

– Personal Suitability: Organized, Team player, Flexibility, Reliability, Quick learner

– Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods, Walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling

– Weight handling up to 45 kg

– Language: Basic English is required.

– Area of Specialization: Horses

 

Salary: $18 hourly. 30 – 48 hours per week.

 

Benefits: Transportation costs covered if workers needs to relocate. Accommodation costs covered by the employer.

 

Important Information:

Flexibility in schedule is required. The employee will work 6-8 hours per day, from 8:30am to 5:30pm, the work schedule will vary depending on the business needs. 1-2 days off provided on a rotational basis. Overtime may be required depending on the business’ needs.
