TEAD is hiring Camp Counsellors this summer 2023
Reports to: Camp Coordinator
Qualifications
· Up to date first aid & cpr certificate
· Minimum grade 10 education
· Horse experience and experience with children a must
· Emotional maturity & enjoyment of the outdoors.
· Good communicator
· Ability to take direction
· Must be between the ages of 16 & 30.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Day to day supervision of campers
· Active involvement in all scheduled activities
· Assist in keeping all work areas clean, safe & tidy
· Ensure all equipment is put away after use (tack, helmets, crafts & sports equipment)
· Assist in the development of the weekly schedule of activities
· Contribute ideas for activities, theme weeks, trips, guest speakers etc.
· Ensure good communication between barn staff and camp
· Lead activities
· Work in group settings and one on one with children with & without special needs
Expectations:
· Punctual, reliable and professionally turned out for work each day
· Daily transportation to the farm
· Follows all TEAD rules and safety guidelines & policies & procedures
· Positive role model
· Cooperation with entire staff at TEAD
· Respect TEAD property at all times
· Comfortable around horses
· Available to work Monday to Friday from June 26 to August 25, 2023

TEAD’s year-round programming is supported by a dedicated and highly motivated team of instructors and volunteers who share a passion for providing the highest quality of care and rehabilitation for over 120 riders and their families.
